I grew up in a small, Norwegian Community in Wisconsin. Because my Mom was Swedish, we were able to fit in! It was the land of, “Uffda,” Lutefisk and Lefse. Also, I learned how to milk cows and harvest tobacco. I studied Norwegian for two years in college so I could converse with the people in my home town.

I obtained my Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin, Madison. I wasn’t too keen on nursing, I discovered, as I passed out my first day in surgery. My student experience at Mendota State Hospital helped me realize I had found my calling. After working at St. Mary’s closed psychiatric unit in Rochester, I went on to get my Master’s Degree and became a Licensed Psychologist. For 17 years, I worked with Domestic Violence Survivors which is a privilege I will never forget. Private Practice was my next venture. I need to add that both my parents taught me, by example, to have compassion for others. My Dad, especially, as he was so very kind to those who were in the County Home in our Community!

Ray and I have a blended family with adult children and grandchildren here, the Twin Cities, and Colorado. We have two dogs we love and adore.

15 years ago, I decided to get my real estate license at the urging of my spouse, Ray Neis. I worked both my jobs for a while. So glad I had Ray to mentor me. We make a Great Team. Being service oriented and working with people helped me transition to Real Estate easily. Having a Positive Experience for all our clients is our Number One Goal.
